This November, the Greek partner Hopeland will host two Multiplier Events under the Erasmus+ project Verti4You – Vertical Farming for Youth in Rural and Urban Communities, bringing the project’s innovative educational tools and values to both young people and key stakeholders in Greece.
The first event, taking place on 5–6 November 2024, will be organized at Hopeland’s eco-educational center in Argolida and will gather young participants, especially those facing fewer opportunities. The program will combine theoretical sessions on sustainable entrepreneurship with hands-on activities in a greenhouse built entirely from reusable and natural materials. Participants will explore the basics of vertical farming systems, engage in planting and composting workshops, and exchange ideas with members of the local community. The event emphasizes low-tech, nature-based solutions, in line with Hopeland’s philosophy of ecological responsibility.
Just a few days later, on 12 November 2024, Hopeland will organize a second event in Athens, hosted by the Greek Council of Refugees. This session will bring together educators, NGO representatives, and actors from the public and private sectors to reflect on the outcomes of the Verti4You project. The agenda includes a presentation of the project’s implementation and impact, a panel discussion on the relevance of vertical farming in different fields, and a networking session focused on scaling green entrepreneurship and promoting inclusive education.
Through these two events, Hopeland aims to amplify the core message of the Verti4You project: vertical farming is not only a tool for sustainable food production, but also a platform for youth empowerment, digital skills development, and social inclusion. Participants in both events will gain practical insights, share experiences, and contribute to shaping a greener and more inclusive future.
